CowParade is the largest and most successful public art event in the world.
Events have been staged in 79 cities worldwide since 1999 and only twice in Australia – Sydney 2001 and Margaret River 2010. So far over 10,000 artists worldwide have participated in CowParade.
As the name suggests, something a little bold was needed for Wow Cow.
The brief was to create an image to reflect the activities (music, art, drama and dance) taking place in the new Cultural Centre
The brief was for a simple logo design evocative of the beautiful Timeless Hill property. Besides wine, the logo has been adapted for olive oil and black truffles.
The spiraling lines set against the curved bodies of the fish and flashes of colour from the oxidized tiles creates a sense of movement.
The organic interwoven lines are reminiscent of Celtic and Islamic designs. Gold oxides in the small tiles are especially beautiful when illuminated from above.
